Why Our Quick Ship Overhead Cranes Are Your Best Option

Mark Ubl
Vice President of Industrial Crane Products, Region Americas

The speed of business is always accelerating. To keep ahead of competitors and the fast changing needs of customers, manufacturers must nimbly adjust their production processes.

Such adjustments may require new material handling equipment, like an overhead crane. Konecranes offers a new solution for this: the Quick Ship Crane program, which ensures fast, four-week delivery.

With the Quick Ship Crane program we have essentially turned complete, pre-engineered, smaller capacity systems into a catalog item to condense and expedite the process of buying a new crane. Our 3, 5, 7 and 10 metric ton, underhung, overhead cranes are available in the Quick Ship Crane program in up to 52-foot spans.

Quick Ship cranes feature Konecranes’ CXT wire rope hoists, two-speed or variable frequency drive control, adaptive speed control that adjusts to reduced loads, a low headroom trolley, a plug-and-play festoon system and a mini joystick remote control with pendant backup.

According to industry statistics, this class of smaller overhead cranes meets the needs of up to 30 percent of the industrial crane market.

More important, this fast crane delivery solution answers the requirements of manufacturers who need to quickly expand their existing operations to better serve customers.

The Quick Ship Crane program also addresses the demands of general contractors who build prefabricated concrete and steel buildings for expanding manufacturers and businesses that require fast turnaround. We understand these market demands, which is why we can readily provide clearance and layout drawings for our Quick Ship line of cranes to help contractors plan their projects.

Each Quick Ship is not only backed by the quality and legacy of Konecranes, but a three-year warranty also.

To start the Quick Ship Crane process, contact Konecranes. A sales representative will respond and provide all the technical specifications you need, along with general layout and clearance drawings. The representative will also schedule a site visit to better understand your operational and facility requirements, such as facility clearances and timing of installation to minimize impact on production. Once a Quick Ship Crane is delivered, installed and commissioned – all by Konecranes – we’ll come on site to train your personnel on safe operation.

Just like our full overhead crane line, Konecranes offers service for our fast crane delivery products. When new process changes come along, we’ll work with you to keep your crane updated.
