The Scheduler behind it all

The Service Supervisor is the person in charge of scheduling service and inspection jobs for the Service Technicians in their branch. Excellent organizational, communications and managerial skills are necessary for this position, as all Service Technicians report to the Service Supervisor.

Flexible, Multi-Taskers Needed

This job calls for flexibility and an ability to be ready at a moment’s notice in order to meet the customers’ needs. In addition to general service call scheduling, the Service Supervisor dispatches technicians to emergency breakdown calls, which is when a crane breaks down outside of normal working hours, such as in the middle of the night.

Multi-tasking skills are necessary, as the Service Supervisor role involves planning the day-to-day working schedules for the Technicians in the workforce, while also coordinating the ordering of parts and other supplies needed for the branch.

Some days can be hectic, but I am quite organized and I enjoy doing many of the roles required of a Service Supervisor.There are plenty of opportunities to move up within the company.
